The Sarkozy Revolution.
"it will be a small revolution if Sarkozy can implement his program of lowering taxes, a simplifying France's labor code, conditioning unemployment benefits on active job hunting, granting greater autonomy for schools and universities, and applying another dose of pension reform. By attacking structural economic weaknesses like these, a Sarkozy government might allow the economy to grow closer to its potential, creating more jobs, and, coupled with modest streamlining of the public sector, reduce government debt and balance the budget after two decades of deficits."
The following consist of companies that might benefit from the Sarkozy revolution.

"As for Sarkozy, the prospect of taking on the two biggest taboos for the ferociously left-wing trade unions in France's energy sector -- full privatization of EdF and ending their workers' preferential pension benefits -- no doubt appeals. Sarkozy has said he's open to the idea of the state reducing its stake in EdF, which a share offer for RWE would entail."

"Given its market capitalization and ability to generate free cash flow, mining and metals giant Rio Tinto (RIO.UK) shouldn't be the subject of takeover speculation. Yet the Anglo-Australian-listed copper and iron company had to deny speculation about a bid from BHP Billiton (BHP.AUSTRALIA) after its shares jumped over 10% last Wednesday."
