Karsch Capital Management, LP was founded by Michael Karsch in July 2000 and began investing in October 2000. The investment objective of KCM is to achieve capital appreciation while minimizing risk by investing (on the long and short side) in equities and equity-related instruments. Mr.Karsch has been active in the financial community for over 12 years. Prior to founding KCM, Mr. Karsch worked at Soros Fund Management LLC as a Managing Director, where he was responsible for investments in value stocks for the Quantum Fund. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Karsch was one of four investment professionals at Chieftain Capital Management. From 1991 to 1993, he was an investment banking analyst at Wasserstein Perella & Co. Mr. Karsch graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. from Tufts University in 1990. He obtained his Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in 1991. Mr. Karsch obtained his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1995.

2/20/07 On February 20, 2007, Karsch Capital sent another letter to the Board in which it revised the timing of its request that the Issuer actively pursue a sale of the entire company. The Issuer has announced that it expects to complete its financial restatement by the end of March 2007, and Karsch Capital now believes that the Issuer should initiate a sale process immediately. 10/24/06 In an amended 13D filing this morning on CSK Auto Corp. (NYSE: CAO), 9.3% holder Karsch Capital Management disclosed that they sent a second letter to the Board requesting that the company include in its proxy materials for the next annual meeting a proposal that the company immediately hire an investment banking firm to pursue a sale.
