SKYW
Skywest - $15.12
- +2.93%
- $14.71
SkyWest, a regional airline based in St. George, Utah, is buying back about 7.8% of its float. Fried likes buybacks because they reduce outstanding shares and thereby boost earnings per share. Buybacks are also a signal from management and the board that they believe the company stock is undervalued and represents a good investment of corporate cash.

IndyMac insiders were buying large amounts of the mortgage lender's stock after its shares sunk more than 30%. Buckingham views this as a good sign and believes the market has overly punished IndyMac. "While subprime mortgages generally include loans where the borrower's FICO score is 620 or below, the average FICO score on IndyMac's 2006 loan production was 701." He's a buyer of IndyMac up to $32.49.

Double-take Softw - $9.50

- $9.42
Double-Take's software protects and recovers critical data and applications for business, focusing on the Windows server sub-segment of the replication market, which is projected to grow at a 25% compound annual growth rate through 2010. Oberweis likes this recent IPO's rapid sales growth and its blue chip customer roster, which includes Microsoft, Dell and Hewlett-Packard.

Goldman Sachs Grp - $171.78
- -0.93%
- $171.96
If Peter Lynch were still picking stocks, he might like Goldman Sachs, according to Validea's Peter Lynch-inspired stock screen. The company's price-to-earnings-growth ratio of 0.22 makes it a prime candidate. Goldman also passes with flying colors the David Dreman stock screen at Validea, thanks to a P/E ratio of 9.8 and strong financials like a low dividend payout ratio of 6.5%, compared with Goldman's historical average of 9.75%, and a return on equity of 33%, which blows away the 21% average of the 1,500 largest-cap stocks.

SHG
Shinhan Fin Grp C - $79.00
- -0.88%
- $78.62
Christy says that Shinhan will benefit from improved U.S.-South Korean trade and looks for growth from Shinhan's recent acquisition of LG Card, Korea's biggest credit card business. Possible expansion into Russia is also on the horizon. Shinhan trades at just 11 times trailing earnings and has a return on equity of more than 20%.

Lowell says to take your "returns and head where consumers are being minted on a daily basis, and where consumer spending is growing on an annual basis: Europe and Asia. I'd focus on the least efficient space in the established foreign markets: international small-cap stocks." He notes that this WisdomTree ETF holds 572 names, making it a "dramatically diversified piece of this international small-cap puzzle."

-
FSCOX
Fidelity Internat - $8.37
- +0.36%
- $N/A
Lowell, who closely follows Fidelity fund managers, likes FSCOX under manager Andrew Sassine. The fund has an expense ratio of 1.16%, which is substantially below the category's 1.77% average. Lowell likes FSCOX as an actively managed companion holding to the WisdomTree International Small Cap Dividend ETF. FSCOX has 118 holdings from all over the world.

IDTI
Integrated Device - $5.86
- -1.18%
- $5.93
Integrated Device Technology shares have been under pressure due to a soft market for semiconductors, but Hutheesing says the company separates itself from the pack by developing specialized products needed by communications companies. "As third-generation wireless networks are deployed this year, demand for its products will increase," he says. Cisco Systems makes up 85% of Integrated's computer networking sales. But Hutheesing says demand for Cisco products is up, which for the time being means Integrated's sales should grow nicely.
